Ezekiel: God who travels Chapter 4
Seeing the Unseen God
Ezekiel wrote exactly what he saw. Scripture says, “the hand of the Lord was upon him” — meaning Ezekiel was under divine authority and protection as he witnessed and recorded one of the most glorious and mysterious visions in the Bible.
When he said, “I saw a wheel on the ground beside each creature with its four faces... the wheels sparkled like chrysolite and all four looked alike,” we must take it by faith, not by flawed imagination or speculative science.
Misguided Imaginations: The Error of Alien Theories
Many so-called great minds have attempted to reinterpret Ezekiel’s vision through earthly logic. They built models of the wheels, resembling mechanical gears and earthly vehicles, as if God’s throne could be reduced to human technology or some alien machinery. These depictions fall far short of God’s glory — poorly imagined, uninspired, and sometimes even mocking in appearance.
These alien-based teachings dishonor the majesty of God by reducing the supernatural to science fiction. They drag the sacred into the profane.
Let it be rebuked:
God’s throne is holy. His appearance is not science fiction.
Ezekiel was chosen by God and shown mercy upon mercy. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, he gave mankind exact words — not for us to distort or reshape through the lens of pop culture or pseudo-science.
God’s Throne Is Beyond Human Reason
Some might say: “Even if God appeared this way, what does it matter?”
It matters because how God chooses to reveal Himself is never random nor accidental — it’s always intentional, holy, and just. If He chose to come in wheels of burning light, then He did so in His divine sovereignty, not for us to interpret through alien mythologies.
We are not to question how God moves, nor are we permitted to reduce His manifestations to earthly things. If God chooses to ride upon wheels within wheels, glowing with fire, then let every knee bow, not speculate.
Heaven Is His Throne, Earth Is His Footstool
Let us not forget:
“Heaven is My throne, and the earth is My footstool.”
— Acts 7:49 / Isaiah 66:1
This is not poetry — it is divine positioning. Heaven is His dwelling place, and Earth rests beneath His feet. God is not distant. He is ever near, watching, reigning, and moving according to His will. He needs no spacecraft. He rides on cherubim. He comes with fire. He sits enthroned in light.
The God Without Rival
God has no rival. He is not subject to time, space, or any created power. He is the Ancient of Days, robed in light and majesty. His throne is eternal, His dominion without end.
“But You, O Lord, are exalted forevermore.”
— Psalm 92:8
Let no man, no philosopher, no scientist or skeptic, presume to contain God within their limited theories. These “alien” thinkers are full of self, not of the Spirit. They speak, but they do not see. They search the cosmos for signs and miss the Creator whose glory fills it all. They chase galaxies and lose their own souls.
A Final Word
This is more than about misinterpretation. It’s about reverence.
To see the unseen God is not science — it is grace.
May we, like Ezekiel, be found under the hand of the Lord — with eyes opened not by intellect, but by the Holy Spirit. And may we stand in awe of His glory, not twist it into man-made fantasies.
